Snobby Dogs are proud to be offering the following Dog Grooming Courses from our newly equipped training academy at our Woodley Salon. (Stockport, Cheshire)
All courses are suitable for students 16 years + and are offered on a 2:1 ratio by Katie who
holds the City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma and Level 3 Certificate in Education and Training.
All students will have access to our dedicated state-of-the-art training academy complete with professional equipment and access to a variety of dogs on which to practice the techniques.
City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants (7763-02)
The Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants course gives you the basis skills you need to start working in a dog grooming environment under supervision.
THE COURSE WILL COVER
- Prepare and groom dogs prior to bathing
- Bathe and clean dogs
- Clean and maintain equipment used for grooming
- Control and restrain animals
- Dry dogs and prepare their coats for styling
- Maintain the cleanliness and bio security of the animal care working environment
Students will receive all course materials and it is recommended that students bring along a camera for before and after photographs as well as pens, high-lighters and notepads.
COURSE LENGTH: 20 DAYS
Course Fee: £2950 inclusive of City & Guilds Registration Fees, Assessment Fees and Multiple Choice Examinations.
City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Introductory Dog Grooming (7763-03)
‘The best Nationally Accredited Dog Grooming Course.’
The Level 3 Certificate in Introductory Dog Grooming course is designed for candidates who wish for a career in Professional Dog Grooming.
THE COURSE WILL COVER
- Competent handling of dogs
- Nail Trimming, ear and eye health and care
- Use of clippers and scissors correctly to achieve different style outcomes
- Effectively brushing, bathing, drying and preparing dogs in readiness for grooming
- Theory sessions relating to Animal Welfare, Canine Health and Diseases and Health and Safety in the workplace
- Breed specifics, correct use and maintenance of salon equipment and tools
- Information and advice on starting and running your own professional dog grooming business
Students will receive all course materials and it is recommended that students bring along a camera for before and after photographs as well as pens, high-lighters and notepads.
COURSE LENGTH: 25 DAYS
Course Fee: £3500 inclusive of City & Guilds Registration Fees, Assessment Fees and Multiple Choice Examinations.
All courses are flexible to suit the requirement of the student.
A non-refundable 50% deposit will be required to secure your place on either course with the balance payable upon commencement of the course.
Snobby Dogs Grooming Taster Day
This course is for pet owners who wish to learn how to groom their own dog or for people wishing to get a taster before committing to one of the longer courses.
On this course pet owners will be taught how to groom their pet from start to finish. For future students, this course will give them an understanding of what the longer courses involve and a chance to see how the courses are carried out.
All students will be given notes and it is recommended that students bring a camera along to take before and after photographs. All grooming equipment will be supplied.
